Lauren came to us from the wine industry, specializing in hospitality, running events and wine tastings, VIP relations, sales and marketing. She also worked as an executive/personal assistant to a winery president, overseeing employees, wine tasting dinners with chefs, charity events and supporting sales and marketing endeavors. She earned a cellar master certification from the International Wine Institute and Wine Public Relations through SRJC. Looking for less crazy hours and having spent several years in the dental field, Lauren joined our practice as our office manager in 2005.
While still in the wine industry, Lauren’s interest in health and well-being led her to pursue yoga teacher training, earning her certification in 2005. She also studies nutrition with an eventual goal of certification. As someone living gluten free as a necessity, she is well-versed in eating healthfully, but knows how to have fun with food!
A former competitive gymnast and member of a modern dance troupe, in later years she studied flamenco and belly dance, which she still does when prodded at parties. Lauren continues to practice yoga daily, takes dance classes when she can, is an avid cook, and rarely turns down a good movie, book, gourmet meal, or a visit to San Francisco for musical theater or the ballet, or a day at the Scottish Games. She has a love for the mountains, growing up at her family cabin in the Sierras, and heads back there to ski or hike as often as time allows.
Lauren is a long-time Santa Rosa resident and lives with her husband, Chuck. Other household members include four miniature dachshunds, Otto, Milo, Daisy, and Giles. She has two young adult children, two young adult stepchildren and three beautiful grandchildren who add a lovely chaos to her life.
Lauren’s commitment to health and wellness serves us well as she guides patients through the administrative processes of care, with knowledge and a sense of humor.
