* * * IMPORTANT UPDATE TO OFFICE POLICY IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19* * *
As we are sure you all are well aware, the coronavirus situation is serious and rapidly evolving. After careful consideration, here is our policy at this moment:
If you have a cough or a fever, or have recently traveled to a high risk area, please stay home. Do not come to our office. Instead, call your PCP.
If you are in the higher risk category for contracting Covid-19 or of having more severe symptoms, please consider ways that you can reduce your exposure. The less you go out, the less exposure you will incur. If you do go out, stay away from obviously sick people, maintain a distance from everyone, and wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. High risk populations include older adults, people who are immune compromised , and people with heart disease, diabetes, or lung disease.
If you are not in the high risk category, we trust you to make your own decision about keeping your appointment.
Know that we are doing everything in our power to lower the risk of infection in our office, from keeping surfaces sanitized to maintaining excellent hygiene for ourselves. We will be here for you if you choose to come in. If you do choose to cancel, please remember to call us to let us know.
Finally, there are a few things you can do to enhance your immune system. Increase your vitamin C intake, either with a supplement or by increasing consumption of foods like sauerkraut, leafy greens, and citrus. Also consider increasing vitamin D, zinc, and selenium. Lastly, consider adrenal supplementation to help your body to manage the stress. Be sure to stay well hydrated. If you have questions about supplementation, please ask us.
We will get through this. Please feel free to call or email if you have questions.
